This past week was a lot quieter for me. I didn’t post any reviews for books that I absolutely loved, although I did find the original “Little Red Riding Hood” fascinating. My giveaway for Montana Legacy by R. C. Ryan is still open.

Nothing much going on at home. On Wednesday, Amber (10) and her Sunday School Class put on a puppet play for the evening church service. She helped with the scenery and did the introduction. This is one of the pictures she drew.

Friday, we played games at our house as usual. We played Kingsburg with the expansion, To Forge a Realm, which adds a lot to the game. I’ll probably talk about it for a Game Night post in the next week or two.

Saturday was the Read-a-Thon, which I really enjoyed. There’s nothing better than having an excuse to read all day and avoid chores. I finished a couple of books and had a lot of fun visiting other blogs.

And the guys used it as an excuse to play Axis and Allies. I just don’t like that game. They played for over four hours, and then quit with no winner, not even a side they could declare would definitely win if they kept playing. I want a winner, especially after playing that long.

David’s birthday’s this coming Tuesday and hopefully we’ll get some work done in the yard. It’s been absolutely gorgeous here.

As for books, I should have a couple of reviews up this week for books I really liked. I’ve started The Three Musketeers, but it’s going to take me a while to read it. I’m trying to remember what new books came into our house this week. We got I Has a Hotdog by Professor Happycat which Amber thought was hilarious, God Never Blinks by Regina Brett which I won at Freda’s Voice, and something else that I can’t remember right now.
