There are the books I read for this challenge.

  1. 13 1/2 by Nevada Barr
  2. Still Life by Louise Penny
  3. Spider’s Bite by Jennifer Estep
  4. The Vintage Caper by Peter Mayle
  5. Shadow Blade by Seressia Glass
  6. The Coroner’s Lunch by Colin Cotterill
  7. The Chatham School Affair by Thomas H. Cook
  8. The Deepest Water by Kate Wilhelm
  9. Heat Wave by Richard Castle
  10. Death Qualified by Kate Wilhelm
  11. Veil of Lies by Jeri Westerson
  12. Two Lethal Lies by Annie Solomon

Looking at the list, I’m not sure which was my favorite. They were all enjoyable. I guess a few do stand out though. Still Life was a very well done kind of traditional mystery. I loved the settings in Veil of Lies and The Coroner’s Lunch. The Chatham School Affair was probably the only one on this list that had me in tears.

Some of these are overlaps, because they truly fit in both categories.

  1. Rion by Susan Kearney
  2. Spider’s Bite by Jennifer Estep
  3. Shadow Blade by Seressia Glass
  4. Soulless by Gail Carriger
  5. The Ace of Spades by K. H. Koehler
  6. Blood Oath by Christopher Farnsworth

My favorite here is a little easier. Maybe it’s because I read it most recently or maybe because it was just pure fun, I have to pick Blood Oath.
