I don’t remember where I saw this, but a couple of weeks ago, someone in the blogosphere did a post showing a series of images from place like Pinterest and Deviant Art, showing different scenes from Little Red Riding Hood and different ways of interpreting the story. If anyone could point me in the right direction I’d appreciate it. I thought it was a great idea, so wanted to share some more visual interpretations of today’s tale, “Rumpelstiltskin.”

An interesting variety of styles. I think my favorite is actually the first, because for me it shows how ridiculous the King’s demand was, and want a mean man he must have been. I get that the young woman didn’t really have much of a choice in whether to marry him or not, but poor lady, to be married to a man who had no compunction about locking you in a room to perform an impossible task on the threat of death.
