Today’s Challenge

Book in a Song – at Janey Canuck

She wants us to talk about what connections you have between a book and some music.  Anything goes, really.  Some suggestions to get you thinking:

Rename your book with a song
Give a lyric that sums up the plot of your book
A song or album that is forever associated with a particular books in your mind

I don’t actually connect books to music much. However, one of the books I finished this week, Murder in G Major definitely had a musical connection. Not only is the main character a violinist/conductor, she hears Tchaikovshy’s “Pathétique” every time danger is headed her way, which is pretty often. It’s a shame the warning usually comes to late for her to react, or she just ignores it. Amateur detectives are prone to ignoring warning signals.
