My Favorite.. is a weekly meme hosted by Maureen’s Books. In this meme we share every week something we love with each other. Because let’s face it.. The world can be a dark place and it’s time to share something positive. For more info: My Favorite Meme.

So, I love social media. It’s like i can talk to people without actually talking to people. I’m on Facebook, both my personal account and a page for my blog. I’m also on Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter, all 3 of which are a combo of personal stuff and blog stuff. It’s hard to pick a favorite. I enjoy Facebook for seeing what friends are up to. I also share events I want to go to on there with my husband and mom, so I don’t forget to tell them. It’s also a great place to share articles with the people I think would find them interesting.

I honestly don’t use Twitter much. You can tell when I’m on because of the rash of re-tweets, but that’s about it.

I love Instagram. I like seeing photos: families, friends, food, books. I’m always amazed by how creative some people are and how perfect a simple photo can be.

My favorite, though, might be Pinterest. I don’t post original pins often, but I do love combing through others’ pins for ideas. Yes, I’ve had a couple of fails, but I’ve also found a bunch of recipes that are delicious. I also really like trying craft ideas I find. It’s also a great way to organize ideas. I just started a board with ideas for Amber’s graduation party and I’ve got one with places I want to visit when we finally take a trip to Washington, DC.

You can find the links to all my social media accounts on my sidebar.

And then I looked at sidebar and saw Goodreads. Does that count as a social media account? Because I adore Goodreads, if only for help keeping track of what I own and what books I still need to get ahold of. I also like the ratings and reviews; they help give me a sense of whether or not I want to read a given book. I trust the reviews on there way more than those on Amazon.
