Christmas Bliss was the last of my Christmas reads for the year. I have read two others in the series and really like Weezie and BeBe. This time around, Weezie’s getting ready to marry her chef boyfriend, Daniel, but he’s off in New York on a temporary gig at a very swanky restaurant. BeBe’s pregnant and refuses to marry her live-in boyfriend Harry, but she also might still be married to one of her exes. It’s complicated.
It’s a sweet story. There’s not much conflict and the couple of “issues” that crop up are quickly resolved. Weezie and BeBe are great characters, fun, quirky, but I don’t know that this would work as well as a stand-alone. It was nice to already know them and appreciate that they were getting their “happily ever afters.”
I would love to visit Savannah some time, which is Weezie and BeBe’s hometown. Books like this just make it seem so charming. Weezie even makes it seem more magical than New York City at Christmastime.

Mary Kay Andrews (born July 27, 1954) is the pen name of American writer Kathy Hogan Trocheck, based in Atlanta, who has authored a number of best-selling books under the Andrews pen name since 2002.
Trochek graduated from the University of Georgia with a journalism degree in 1976. She worked as a reporter at a number of papers, and spent 11 years as a reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution before leaving to write fiction full-time in 1991. She published ten mystery novels under her own name between 1992 and 2000, and switched to the Andrews pen name in 2002 to author Savannah Blues, which marked a change in her style to more Southern-flavored themes.
I read this in 2016 and really enjoyed it.
I love Savannah but have never been there at Christmas time.
The only books I’ve read by Mary Kay Andrews are the ones in this series. I should really try branching out a little.

Isn’t the cover cute? Weezie loves antiques and she picks up some vintage Christmas ornaments in New York.
Xmas books! I want to read another one before winter ends.
I’ve moved on to sci-fi apparently. I’m currently reading Dune and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
