Amber's (9) update'll be first. She spent 2 hours and 25 minutes reading. She finished a batch of books: Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak Scooby-Doo and the Legend of the Vampire by Jesse Leon McCann The Fran with Four Brains (Franny K. Stein) by Jim Benton Scooby-Doo and the Weird Water Park by Jesse Leon McCann Danny and the Dinosaur by Syd Hoff Zack's Alligator by Shirley Mozell It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown by Charles M. Schultz The Magic School Bus Gets Eaten by Patricia Relf Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs by Judi Barrett The Cafeteria Lady for the Black Lagoon by Mike Thaler Pickle Things by Marc Brown Her total so far is 11 books. They're all re-reads for her but she's enjoying it. I think she may be going for sheer numbers. She says her favorite so far is the Franny K. Stein. My update is not nearly as interesting. I've read for about 2 hours and 15 minutes, 130 pages in Flesh and Fire by Laura Anne...

YAY! Amber (9) and I are up. I've gotten my  shower. She made us breakfast and we're ready to start reading. And it's only 8:15, which is pretty good for me. The first hour meme is up over at the website. We'll be at our house for the most part. I've got 13 books in my pile as possibles. Obviously I won't read them all. Amber says she has "a bunch" in hers. I don't really have any goals, just to have fun andread a lot without feeling guilty. Amber says her goal is to "read a bunch." I'm hping she finished the book she's reading for her book report. This is our first read-a-thon, so thanks for all the advice I've gotten over the last couple of weeks....

I've been trying to pull together a stack of  "possibles" for the Read-a-Thon. These are ones I pulled off the shelf yesterday. Also, I may end of grabbing entirely different ones. I figure I can always go to Amber's bookshelves if I just need a short easy something for a break. Also, I'll read a little with Amber, but I'm not sure what we'll be reading by then. I told her she can stay up late if she's reading with me...
