Readers’ Workouts – 8/1

I can’t believe it’s August. Where has summer gone? I just missed my step goal this week according to the chart, but my fit bit died on Wednesday and I didn’t get a chance to recharge it until bedtime, so I’m giving myself some extra credit.

 

This week:

Tuesday – Walk with the dog
Thursday – Walk with the dog
Saturday – Walk with the dog
Monday – Walk with the dog, Pilates

I have a fitness Pinterest board and I pinned this plan a while ago. I thought it might be a good one to try for August, although I hate jumping jacks. I may trade jumping jacks for jumping rope.

Meal ideas:

Pork tenderloin with pierogies
Turkey Chiles Rellenos
Chicken Tacos
Shrimp fried rice
Mozzarella mini quiches
Flatbread pizza

My fish cakes turned out yummy last week.

I actually tried something without burning it – fish cakes and roasted veggies #iactuallycooked #yum

Year Fitness Goals:

– Lose weight. Goal – Lose 26 lbs.
– Run 2 5ks, 1 10K and 1 half. Completed – 1 10K; 1 5K
– Hit my weekly step goal (56,000 steps) for 48 weeks. Weeks completed: 24

Readers’ Workouts – 7/25

The dog has not been up to as long walks this summer as he is in the spring. I may have to start going on my own or making him take multiple walks in a day. Saturday I took a walk by myself and one of the neighbors I rarely talk to asked where he was.

This week:

Wednesday – Swimming (which doesn’t count toward my steps. 🙁 )
Thursday – Walk
Saturday – Walk
Monday – Walk with the dog

Meal ideas:

Carolina barbecue pork tenderloin with apple slaw
Fried mushroom sub
Fish cakes with roasted veggies
Date night – either Bahama Breeze or Joe’s Crab Shack

Year Fitness Goals:

– Lose weight. Goal – Lose 26 lbs.
– Run 2 5ks, 1 10K and 1 half. Completed – 1 10K; 1 5K
– Hit my weekly step goal (56,000 steps) for 48 weeks. Weeks completed: 23

Readers’ Workouts – 7/18

I’m sorry I’m posting a day late. We were at the lake over the weekend with little to no internet and yesterday just got away from me. I missed my step goal this week, but barely. I think kayaking and fishing should count as more steps than they do.

 

This week:

Saturday – Walk with the dog, Fishing
Sunday – Kayaking, Fishing
Monday – Walk to the bank

I had never been kayaking before; it was fun. These are a few photos my brother-in-law took.

Amber and I rented a two-person kayak

Meal ideas:

Pork tenderloin with kiwi pineapple salsa (I posted a photo on my instagram.)
Mexican corn salad with black beans
Teriyaki broccoli and mushrooms
