Reverse Readathon

Reverse Readathon

Dewey's Reverse Readathon is starting now! I like this one because I can be awake at the beginning in end, which rarely happens in Spring or Fall.  I’ll be posting updates here but probably more on Twitter and Instagram. Opening Survey! What fine part of the world are you reading from today? Eastern Ohio as usual Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? Everything on my list this year should be fun. Which snack are you most looking forward to? I didn't really get anything unusual - pretzels, ice cream. Oreos. Tomorrow we're going to a food truck festival for a late lunch. Tell us a little something about yourself! This is always the hardest question. I'm a mystery reader. I have two adorable, bratty dogs. (I also have a husband and adult daughter, but they are not as good reading buddies) What are your goals for this readathon? No goals really, just to spend as much reading as I want. Half-Point Survey How many books have...

It’s Read-a-thon Time!

It’s Read-a-thon Time!

It’s Read-a-thon time! It’s Read-a-thon time! Today is Dewey's 24-Hour Readathon. I am actually not going to be participating much. I have to accompany kids for solo and ensemble this afternoon and I have to play at church tomorrow, so I'm going to sleep on time. But, Amber's Fall Break will be during the October read-a-thon, so I won't be participating at all then. And I do so love read-a-thons. I'm actually really hoping they do a reverse read-a-thon again this summer. I loved that time format. Opening Meme 1 What fine part of the world are you reading from today? I’m in eastern Ohio.2 Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I’m actually winging it today. First up will be a novella, Moonshine and Murder by Kathleen Brooks and after that we'll see. 3 Which snack are you most looking forward to? I have not planned very well. I'll probably make a stop at the store when...

Summer 24-Hour Readathon

The Reverse Summer Readathon starts now! I love that it's running 8pm - 8am eastern this time around. I slept in this morning. I don't have anything in the schedule until Sunday morning. I'm looking forward to a lot of reading time. I'm prepared: I've got my snacks, I've got my books, I've got food for meals and plenty of coffee and pop. Updates will be here at the blog, instagram (@carolsnotebook), and twitter (@carolsnotebook). I'm starting tonight at the softball field (my husband's playing a triple-header this evening in the church softball league) but I have the Kindle app on my phone stocked. First up is Picked Off by Linda Lovely. I'm already about 1/4 of the way into it. Opening Survey 1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? Eastern Ohio 2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I'm not sure. I don't really have a tbr list set up, so I'm just reading...
