It’s a week or two later than you’d expect, and it may be almost a trite question, but … what were your favorite books from 2008?
My favorite books from 2008:
General Fiction:
- The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas (my favorite of the year)
- Trash Sex Magic by Jennifer Stevenson
- Boy’s Life by Robert McCammon
Mysteries:
- The Patient’s Eyes by David Pirie
- And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
- Why Mermaids Sing by C. S. Harris
- Tailed by Brian M. Wiprud
- The Skull Mantra by Eliot Pattison
- A Study in Scarlet/ The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Paranormal Romance/Urban Fantasy
- Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh
- Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh
- Jacob by Jacquelyn Frank
- Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs
Children’s
- Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren
- Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
Non-fiction:
- Ballad of the Whiskey Robber by Julian Rubinstein
You really read ALL of these in just one year? I envy you =0( I have such a hard time reading for pleasure since I’m still in school (working on a double major that’s taking up double the time to finish)
It’s nice to see some familiar titles though. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is actually what my ex boyfriend used to read to me over the phone when I coudnt sleep at night. I’ve been read that book, from beginning to end, at least five times and I only remember there is only one bed, for the four grandparents, since they were the oldest =0)
Thanks for sharing!
I really like And Then There Were None and Skull Mantra. I haven’t read any of the others. This was a fun meme. Thanks for visiting my blog.
I should start reading books by Nalini Singh. I have the first book “Slave to Senstation” in my TBR pile, brought by my friends for my birthday *grin*. I can’t wait to start reading it 🙂
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I do hope you stop by and visit me again. Have a good Thursday!
Love love love the Count of Monte Cristo!
