I only ran into one new-to-me word this week. Well, it’s not really new to me, but I’ve never looked it up before. I just had a general idea of what it means.
braggadocio – empty boasting, bragging
“to attract associates and positions through charisma and braggadocio”
-pg. 126, My Goodness: My Kids by Nesta A. Aharoni
Head over to Bermudaonion’s Weblog for some more wondrous words.
That just shows how smart you are! Braggadocio is a great word – I might even use it if I knew how to pronounce it. Thanks for playing along.
Oh, I love that word! I’ve read it before, but I take great delight, every time I see it again. It’s so…extravagant. It makes me think of someone who is really, really bragging.
Meanwhile, mine are here.
That is most certainly a great word! I don’t always find new words every week, so I’m not sure how this will work on a weekly basis. I might cheat and maybe occasionally post a clever turn of phrase that catches my eye!
