I need a little help. Christmas is just around the bend. I have a grandmother who enjoys reading and we’d like to get her a book or two. Here’s where I need some help. I don’t know what to get. First, it needs to be large print. She’s in her 80s and it can be tough for her to read sometimes. Second, I’m looking for light reading, preferably short stories or short pieces that all tie together. Enjoyable and easy to read – no cursing, no killing, no sex.
She enjoyed The Red Suit Diaries last year, if that gives you an idea of what she likes.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations you may have. I really appreciate it.
It is admirable that your grandmother likes to read. Go for short story collections by Eudora Welty. There are plenty of choices for that.
Her stories are not very fast paced but have that underlying irony and totally engrossing.

I have Thirteen Stories by Eudora Welty.
I wish I could help, unfortunately I can’t think of any. If I come across something I will let you know.
Good luck hunting!!!
