We spent yesterday at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. They currently have a great temporary exhibit about how humans are affecting the environment.

The anthropocene is a proposed epoch dating from the commencement of significant human impact on the Earth’s geology and ecosystems, including, but not limited to, anthropogenic climate change.
These were collected one hundred years apart on the same day of the year in the same location. It is amazing how much earlier plants are blooming and producing fruit than a century ago.
A small part of the museum’s alcohol collection is on display.
BioSteel™ Goats have been genetically modified to produce the protein from Golden Orb Weaver Spider silk in their milk. Freckles is on loan from the Center for PostNatural History, also in Pittsburgh.
