Mystery Read-a-Thon

The Mystery Read-a-Thon is this weekend! The idea is to find 12 hours over these two days and dedicate them to reading mysteries. I'm going to be fitting some hours in here, some there. I'm starting with 13 1/2 by Nevada Barr. I'm counting it as a mystery, although technically it may be more of a thriller. Those lines are always blurry to me....

Apparently I can't keep track of time. I'm not really sure how long it's been since my last update, I think about two hours. Time: 1 1/2 hours (total=8 hours 15 minute) Pages: 61 (total=612) Book finished: The Guns of Avalon by Roger Zelazny I forgot to mention that I did about 3 mini-challenges. I think I'm heading for bed, otherwise I'm just going to fall asleep on the couch anyway. I may try to wake up and put in the last hour, but no promises. Thanks to all the cheerleaders. Mini-Challenge

Lynn is hosting a mini-challenge. She's asking us to list five of our favorite childrens books.It's hard to pick five, but here's my quick list. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe ( I just re-read this and loved it.) The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree (Fun story and great pictures.) Cat in the Hat (It's a classic and I think I can still recite a lot of it.) Bunnicula (I had forgotten most of it until I read it again with my daughter. Great book.) The first Magic Tree House. I forgot the title, something about dinosaurs. (First book in a series that is fun and teaches you some history.) I re-read all these with my daughter and they were just as good as I had remembered....

Since last update I've only read for 45 minutes. We moved Amber's bedroom furniture and had to have dinner over at my mom's because my grandma's brother is in town, but I did finish a book.
