What’s the funniest book you’ve read recently?
This is actually a harder question than it sounds. I just don’t read that many truly funny books. Of course, I’m one of those people that always laughs at inappropriate moments in movies, and in conversations I’m the only one who finds me funny, so maybe my sense of humor’s just screwed up.
I think the last funny book I read was A Night at the Operation by Jeffrey Cohen. One of my favorite books of all time is Pipsqueak by Brian M. Wiprud, which I thought was hilarious. I guess I just really enjoy comedic mysteries.
What about you? What funny books have you read?
I have not read either of these books, but I have also wondered about my own sense of humor sometimes.
Pipsqueak? I LOVE that title!
I don’t read a lot of funny books. Lately, I’d say The Know-It-All, but all-time I’d say possibly Tom Jones. I know, it’s like 300 years old, but I found it hilarious!
Both sound good to me!
Booking through funny bones
yeah I feel the same way as you. I find some mysteries funny too (like the one I posted about on my blog)
I usually laugh at the inappropriate times too. I guess we both have a strange sense of humor 😛
The last book I reviewed, AN OFF YEAR by Claire Zulkey, was pretty funny.
I usually get bored with a book if it doesn’t have at least a little humor. Haven’t heard of either of those, but they both sound like fun.
I just heard of Pipsqueak. And since I recently finished Stuffed, I’m thinking Pipsqueak is now a must-buy.
