Teaser/Whereabouts Tuesdays: Tintin and Cigars of the Pharaoh by Hergé
Is the author Latino? This reminds me very strongly of the Latin American lit I took a course on (and fell in love with) back in Grad school. There is some truly brilliant (but difficult) literature coming out of that area.
I like that teaser…and have this book waiting in my tbr pile.

Great teaser from a wonderful book! I read this one a couple of years ago and fell in love with it. Hope you’re enjoying it, too.
I do remember being pulled into this book by lines like that at the start of the narrative.
