Today we have a painting that Amber (9) did for her book report this week. Painting is not her forte, but she was pleased with how it turned out.
It’s the Boxcar Children looking up a staircase. They hear a ghost singing upstairs in The Mystery of the Singing Ghost. Of course, it turns out that it’s not actually a ghost. A neighbor is using a tape recorder and other tricks to try to scare the kids away.
I love that Amber’s teacher encourages so much creativity for their book reports. I think it makes it funner for the kids, both to do the reports and to listen/see what the other kids did.
Our copy was purchased. I am an Amazon Associate.
This looks pretty darn good to me! I’m sure Amber’s painting will improve as she works on it. I love that she made some of the painting look “textured” – the 1 pair of pants, the 1 top and the rug.
I agree, I think it’s pretty good. I love the painting on the wall being slightly askewed. Makes it looks even a little more scary.
That painting is GOOD! Amber is very talented and I can an artist in the making!
It looks good, painting was sure not what I was best at either. But I liked creative things and when we got to write
I can almost hear them singing….
Good job Amber!
I think she did a great job! And I think giving kids projects to do for book reports is a great idea. They do that in The Girl’s class once in awhile, and those are always her favorite.
