Here are my steps for the week. I did pretty lousy this week. We did some work around the house though that doesn’t show up in steps.
My current plan is to do cardio on Tuesday (60 mins), upper body on Wednesday, cardio on Thursday (60 mins), a total body workout on Friday, cardio on Saturday (60+ mins), and a core workout on Monday. I’m also trying to do a 10 minute-ish Pilates workout each day.
Tuesday – 60 mins running, 10 mins walking at park
Wednesday – half hour whole body workout
Thursday – 30 mins elliptical
Sunday – Swimming
Monday – 10 mins Pilates, 15 mins core
I usually listen to a book while I’m walking, jogging, whatever. This week I finished The Rook by Daniel O’Malley and started The Terra-Cotta Dog by Andrea Camilleri.
Food log:
Monday: banana and coffee; sausage, sweet potato, apple hash; taco salad (on lettuce); Twix
2016 miles: 296
How was your week? Readers’ Workouts is hosted by Joy at Joy’s Book Blog .
I love to swim but we live about 45 min. from the nearest pool. When I move to town I’ll be living next door to my oldest son and he has a pool. Still, I plan on getting my own sometime soon. They just cost so much!
We have one. We just don’t get to use it as much as I’d like.
Carol, Good for you keeping such close track of your activities. I rely on my Fitbit for steps, but it doesn’t tell me how much other exercise I get. At dance class the other day, it only logged half a mile. I think I dance more than that in my high heels. Listening to books is a great idea. I need to get started doing that.
Keeping track is the only way I can keep myself accountable. I feel bad on weeks when I have little or nothing to post.
You ca do it 🙂
Now that Carl’s retired, he walks with me so I don’t get near the listening time I used to.
But having company is nice (most of the time).
Funny how things like house work don’t generate steps but still generate fatigue!
