I made my step goal for the week and I’m thrilled that it’s almost spring. I did skip the 5K I was going to do on Saturday. My husband helped convince me that the weather was going to be miserable. Turned out I could have gone and he felt a bit guilty so now he’s redoing the upstairs bathroom. I’m not sure how that all worked out, but I think it’ll look nice when it’s done.
This week:
Thursday – Elliptical, Weights (My husband taught me how to use a couple of the machines at the gym I’ve been a little afraid of.)
Sunday – Walk with the dog
Monday – Walk with the dog, Pilates
Meal plan:
“Angry Dragon Noodles”
Naan pizza with artichoke hearts and onion
Onion-crusted chicken with green beans
Pork tenderloin with carrots
Fried chicken and grits
Four of those meals are going to be from Home Chef, which I am really pleased with so far. I’ve made three meals, all of which have been good. Amber even ate all of one and most of the other two – she can be a bit picky. It makes it easy to cook good meals and having all the ingredients delivered means no last minute runs to the store for milk or butter or whatever I though I had but don’t. The servings are on the large side, I’d say, which gives me leftovers for lunch.
Year Fitness Goals:
– Lose weight. Goal – Lose 26 lbs. Down 2 lb (starting 141.6)
– Run 2 5ks, 1 10K and 1 half. Completed – none.
– Hit my weekly step goal (56,000 steps) for 48 weeks. Weeks completed: 9
How was your week? Readers’ Workouts is hosted by Joy at Joy’s Book Blog .
I’m getting serious this week about making sure that my Fitbit has 8000 steps or greater by the time I go to bed. I was dancing around to get my last few steps in late last night!
I’ve been known to march in place by the bed until i hit it.
I love the way that all ended with him redoing the bathroom. Keep up the walking!
Angry dragon noodles sounds…weird
It was actually really good – noddles and a bunch of veggies with a chili sauce and a bit of sriracha.
It does sound good
