Thankfully Reading Wrap-up
Thanks again to Jenn for hosting the Thankfully Reading Weekend. I didn’t get as much reading done as I’d hoped too, but that’s because I spent a lot of time hanging out with family and friends. I did finish Lord James Harrington and the Christmas Mystery. I read a couple of stories in The Christmas Card Crime and Other Stories and started An Ale of Two Cities.
I finished several squares on Deb’s Bingo Card. Technically I didn’t get Bingo, but I think it still counts. I listened to an audiobook, read a recipe, read under the covers and when it was dark outside, and I ate a healthy snack (brownies are healthy, right)?
Week’s Highlight:
Amber was home and we went to my mom’s for Thanksgiving.
Watching:
We saw Knives Out yesterday. I loved it.
Playing:
We played Scythe a couple of times this weekend. It’s a good game and I enjoy it, but I can’t figure out how to win. Our last game was my worst one yet.
Looking forward to:
This week is actually going to be pretty quiet. Maybe some Christmas shopping and definitely putting up the rest of the decorations. We got the tree up while Amber was home, but most everything else is still in boxes.
glad to see Sunday Salon back.
My laptop was driving me crazy last night though, so it almost didn’t happen.
Spending time with family and friends is the best. My son tried to talk my nephew into seeing Knives Out but our nephew wouldn’t go. I’ll have to tell my son it’s worth seeing.
Of course, I love a good traditional mystery, whether it be a book or movie.
It sounds like you had a lovely holiday.
I’m happy you were able to join in for the BINGO game. What you did definitely qualifies. And I’m counting brownies as a healthy snack!
What in the world is Knives Out? It sounds very scary, but then again everything sounds scary to me.
Have a great week!
Knives Out is a mystery movie. Very traditional, not gory, but a few medication/needle scenes that made my daughter cringe.
