I remember (maybe in junior high – it was a long time ago) when Janet Dailey announced plans to research and write a book in every state. I may have read a few but I think they were fairly generic (and that was before she had plagiarism issues). She and her husband got a lot of publicity as they traveled around! I’m not recommending, however!
