Dear Santa,
I know you probably have your sleigh all packed and ready to go, and I’m sure you’ve got all kinds of goodies in there for me, but just in case you’re looking for some last-minute ideas, here are some books I would love to see under the tree. Of course, I do love to see just about any book under the tree, or gift certificates for books, or book accessories, but that’s beside the point.
- Brunetti’s Cookbook by Roberta Pianaro
- The House of Silk by Anthony Horowitz
- The Prague Cemetery by Umberto Eco
- Tales of a Sixth Grade Muppet by Kirk Scroggs
- The Redbreast by Jo Nesbรธ
- The Janus Stone by Elly Griffiths
- My Mother She Killed Me, My Father He Ate Me edited by Kate Bernheimer
- Little, Big by John Crowley
- Scaramouche by Rafael Sabatini
- Buy Back by Brian M. Wiprud
But I know I’ll be thrilled with whatever I find Sunday morning. And don’t worry, we’ll leave cookies out for you.
Love,
Carol
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
I am considering buying Little, Big after Christmas. I really want to read it and someone stole the library copy… Of course just before it was my turn to read it. ๐
I’d love to get the top three of your books, plus the Nesbo. Ah, if only wishes came true! Hope you get them!
I must have something wrong with my browser- I can’t see any of the books that you want to see under the tree!
Hmm, I don’t know. Maybe I’ll just add the list under the covers, in case you’re not the only one. I see them fine, and I’m not savvy enough to know how to fix it. Sorry!!
I’ve heard so much about My Mother She Killed Me, My Father He Ate Me! Hope Santa brings you a few. ๐
I hope you get many of them ๐
I already know what I get, since I gave bf a list
There are books under our tree for everyone but me. I hope Santa sees your post!
I have a feeling that’ll be what happens at our house. I know Amber and David are each getting a couple.
You know, just the fact that Brunetti has his own cookbook makes me really want to read the series now. I hope you get all the books on your list, Carol!
If the recipes in the cookbook are anything like Brunetti’s wife cooks, they sound delicious.
Great mix of books. I saw the Eco book in a store window on Monday and I almost picked it up. I hope you get it and write a review. Have a great holiday!
Here’s hoping Santa is good to you, I’m certain he will do his his best to bring you these books.
I loved The Janus Stone by Elly Griffiths..good book.
What an adorable idea and I love your list!
Books? Hmmm… That would have been a good idea.
Oh, oh. Sounds like no books under the tree for me.
Little, Big looks good! I’ve not read any of the books on your list. I’m going to check them out.
