Today’s topic for “A Month of Favorites” is obviously all about the covers. “A Month of Favorites” is hosted by Girlxoxo, Traveling with T and Estella’s Revenge. Today’s link-up is over at Traveling with T.
I’m actually not much of a cover person. Rarely will I actually read a book because I love the cover. If I had to choose my favorite covers in general my list would be entirely different, but for these 10, I’m only looking at books I actually read in the past year, and they’re in no particular order.
1. Caught Dead by Andrew Lanh
2. The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith
3. The Long Way Home by Louise Penny
4. Delicious! by Ruth Reichl
5. Invisible City by Julia Dahl
6. The Girl with a Clock for a Heart by Peter Swanson
7. The Lost Girls of Rome by Donato Carrisi
8. Blame it on the Mistletoe by Nicole Michaels
9. The Lazarus Curse by Tessa Harris
10. The Crimson Campaign by Brian McClellan
What covers make your list?
I love the covers of Delicious!, Invisible City and Blame it on the Mistletoe!
I’m a cover snob and have passed on books if the cover doesn’t grab my attention, even though I know there are a lot of really good books I passed up because of that. I will read a book based on a recommendation from another blogger even if I don’t love the cover. so I don’t really feel so bad about my cover snobbery.
I think because I see covers so much less often than I used to, since I mostly read e-books and listen to audiobooks, they don’t matter as much as they used to.
The cover of Delicious! is beautiful but I didn’t love the book.
Yeah, I was bit disappointed in it, too.
I looove covers 😀
I felt the same way about Delicious! I think I prefer her memoirs
I haven’t read any of her memoirs. Maybe I should.
The Louise Penny is definitely interesting look!
The Girl With A Clock for a Heart!!!!!! eeek! That cover is something else! Thanks for linking up with #amonthoffaves!
Very nice. I like the Blame it on the Mistletoe one! I have that on my tbr pile 🙂
Love the long way home cover!
What not much of a cover person? Really? I’m just the opposite. I buy books based on cover more than story. LOL! Great picks.
I’m more likely to NOT choose a book because of a bad cover before I pick one because of a cover 🙂 Blame it on the Mistletoe is cute and I’m in a Christmasy mood after watching White Christmas on stage today.
