I am looking forward to actually going on vacation this summer. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve taken off a whole week and gone away. The plan is to head for the Outer Banks in North Carolina, hopefully around Hatteras, but we haven’t booked anything yet. The three of us are going down with my mom, my brother and his family. It should be a nice time. Relaxing on the beach, site-seeing, bird-watching, eating, shopping, fishing, kayaking.
Any suggestions of things we should do, places we should visit while we’re there?
…and surfing. Don’t forget surfing!
That’s you, not me. What about hang gliding or kite boarding?
Absolutely… you?
No, just adding to your list.
Fishing. Did anyone say fishing?
Yes – fishing – we know.
Never been there, but it looks gorgeous!
I’m hoping to go on our first family vacation in six years this summer! Really, really hoping it all falls into place!
I haven’t been there in years – I’m sure it’s all changed since then.
Oooh, the Outer Banks! Yes, a vacation sounds lovely right about now. I’ve been visiting OBX since I was small — we rent a beach house with the extended family every summer and stay near Kitty Hawk, in Kill Devil Hills. Most of our week is spent lounging and eating, haha… aside from the traffic, it’s quiet there.
Sounds perfect- a nice relaxing break.
that sounds like a nice vacation to look forward to!
Wow–this sounds just amazing! Unfortunately my husband’s not a lie on the beach kind of guy, so I always yearn for trips like this. Enjoy!
What I really wish right now is that I was sitting on that beach instead of surrounded by all this snow. lol.
That aside, the vacation sounds lovely and I bet it’ll be just what you need.
Sun in general would be a nice change from the snow.
sign me up
Sounds lovely. Sorry I can’t provide any input but I’m saying go for it, Carol!
We went there a few years ago with family and enjoyed it. We visited the Wright museum and enjoyed it. Kitty Hawk maybe?
Definitely going on the list. I think that David and Amber would both enjoy it.
