Back to the Bedroom by Janet Evanovich
Here’s the basic story. When something crashes through Kathryn Finn’s roof, her neighbor, David Dodd comes over to make sure she’s okay. Of course, they seem to be polar opposites. She’s a hard-working cellist, he seems to be a lazy bum, living off his lottery winnings. Of course, there’s sparks, misunderstandings, a wacky old lady, some laugh-out-loud moments, and a happy ending.
To be honest, this one had me rolling my eyes and saying “give me a break.” I enjoy a cheesy romance, but this was pushing it. I did love David though. He was so honest, caring, impulsive, and I had to find out what his real story was. He was quite obviously to good a guy to just lay around the house playing with toys until his money ran out. I liked how he treated Kathryn, teasing and a little pushy, but not too alpha.
I can’t say I recommend that you go out and read this. There are a lot of romances out there and this one’s not near the top of the list. But, if you happen across it at the library or a yard sale, it’s a light afternoon read.

Challenge: Romance
I borrowed my copy from the library and the above is my honest opinion.
I listened to one of her earlier novels, and it was so cheesy that I constantly rolled my eyes. Sounds like this one is just like that

sounds like a good read if im in the mood for something light and fluffy.
I don’t get along with cheesy romances, so I think I’ll skip this one.
Her earlier books seem this way, good if you don’t want to think too hard. I did like David though.
I will say that I actually prefer her old romances to her Plum books. I just don’t see the appeal of those.
I haven’t really enjoyed Evanovich’s cheesy romances although I haven’t read this one. And now I don’t have to!
