I'm told my husband and daughter picture books in their head as they read them, almost like a movie I think. I don't. This is a tough question because I don't really see the outfits as I read about them. In general, though, I love the Victorian gowns and the '20s flapper look.

I really don't know. Sherlock, maybe, or anyone from Harry Potter World. And the characters from whatever book I'm currently reading or just finished - like Winter Magnusson or his brother Lowe from Bennett's Roaring Twenties series or Ruth Zardo from Penny's Inspector Gamache series. Which character's twitter feed would you like to see?

Blogger pet peeves? – provided by Take Me Away…
I don't really have many pet peeves when it comes to blogging. I have too many about my actual job to have any energy left for pet peeves about the things I do for enjoyment. That being said, my current minor annoyance has to do with the pictures on my blog. For some reason, I can only make them left justified and without surrounding text. No matter how I set them in the settings, that's just how they turn out. I assume it's a quirk of my template, and I like everything else about the way it looks so I'm willing to put up with it.

Before blogging (dark times people!) how would you find out about new books or did you? Question provided by: A Great Read
Even before blogging there were so many ways to find new books or books I wanted to read. I remember being a member of one of those monthly mail-order book clubs, and I would drool over each month's offerings, picking out what I was willing o spend money on and what I wanted to just keep in mind. I would browse the library or bookstore, picking up what caught my eye. I'd take recommendations from friends or just see something a total stranger was reading that caught my eye. I remember reading The Pelican Brief in high school because I was on a plane and it seemed like everyone else was reading it. I've never been at a loss for reading material.

Are you also a writer and what genre or did you ever consider writing? Question provided by: The Pegster Reads
I'm not a writer. I wish I was a writer, I'd like to be a writer, but I never actually sit down and write. If I did, I think my preferred genre would be a suburban fantasy kind of thing, with a mystery to solve and a dash of romance. On the other hand, Toni Morrison said "If there's a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it,” and I really want to read a good book set in a restaurant that takes people and relationships seriously, while making me crave the food they serve. I've tried to read a couple of books like that lately, but neither really clicked for me. Of course, knowing nothing about restaurants or food, that might be a bit tough. Back to fantasy and mystery it is.

Question: Tell us about a book character you’d trade places with?
I'm going to cheat a little. I can't think of any particular character I want to trade places with., most characters lives are obviously full of drama, and I'm not really a fan of drama in my own life. However, I would love to live in a fictional town, Three Pines from Louise Penny's Inspector Gamache series - even though it's in Quebec and has horribly cold winters. It just seems like an ideal little village, half-hidden from the world - picturesque, full of artists and readers and friends. I would love to browse the bookstore, have a bite to eat at the café, have dinner with the crazy poet. We'll just ignore that murders seem to happen there regularly - no town's perfect.
