Readers’ Workouts – 10/10

I almost didn't post today, that's how lousy my exercise routine has been lately, but I pushed myself yesterday to get my steps in and do some Pilates so I feel a little better.   This week's activities: Thursday - Walk at the track Friday - Walk with the dog Monday - Pilates Meal ideas for next week: Spaghetti Fried rice Sloppy Joe We're going to a football game Friday, a band festival Saturday and the lake Sunday and Monday, so probably lots of burgers, pizza, and/or hot dogs. Year Fitness Goals: - Lose weight. Goal - Lose 26 lbs. (Currently at -13.4) - Run 2 5ks, 1 10K and 1 half. Completed - 1 10K; 1 5K - Hit my weekly step goal (56,000 steps) for 48 weeks. Reader’s Workouts – 9/26

I didn't make my step goal this week, but I had a pretty active weekend, so I think I'm okay with that. The weather's been hot and the dog just hasn't felt like taking walks. We'll go like 20 steps and he'll just stop and won't move until we turn around to go back home.   This week's activities: Wednesday- Pilates Thursday - Pilates Friday - Bowling Saturday - Catch for Cancer Sunday - Does cornhole count? The “Catch for Cancer” was fun, even if we didn't break the world record. I'm not sure how short we were of the number. Readers’ Workouts – 9/19

I actually did make it to the gym once this week. I felt kind of miserable Friday into Saturday. I think I picked up a cold. I feeling mostly better now, just a touch of the cough left. This week's activities: Tuesday - Walk with the dog Thursday - Walk with the dog, Elliptical, Weights Sunday - Walk with the dog Monday - Pilates This coming Saturday we are going up to Pittsburgh to play catch. It'll be a short game but the Pirates and Allegheny Health Network are organizing “Catch for Cancer” to draw attention to the importance of prostate cancer screenings. They're also trying to set a Guinness World Record for the largest game of catch. I'm hoping it'll be fun. I just missed my steps for the week, but just barely. I need to get back to the gym!! I did earn a new badge. This week: Thursday - Walk with the dog, Pilates Friday - Walk with the dog Sunday - Walk with the dog, yardwork Monday - Walk with the dog We didn't do anything fitnessy as a family this week, although we did walk around a couple of festivals. I'll try to plan something for this weekend, even if it's just a walk somewhere different or bowling.
