Here’s my plan, more or less. (SS stands for strength training/stretching; CT stands for cross-training)

This past week was supposed to be week 11.

Tuesday I ran 5 miles on the treadmill at the gym. I really prefer running outside, but it was cold and rainy, and it’s getting dark so early. Then I did 20 minutes on the ab machines. I know that good, old-fashioned crunches and planks are probably better, but the machines are kinda fun.

Wednesday I did 30 minutes of weights and crunches in our basement.

And then I did nothing over the weekend. Well, I did lots of stuff, just nothing that really fits in with this post.

Monday I took the dog for a mile walk during my lunch.

So I ran once all week – not so good. The problem really is scheduling, between work, Amber’s activities and making sure she doesn’t need help with homework, dishes, laundry, etc., I just don’t have enough time. And David’s been working on a project so hasn’t had much time to pitch in with other stuff. And no – I won’t wake up early. I really do hate mornings.

I think I’ll repeat week 11, since I don’t really have any deadline now. I am looking at a 10K in the beginning of November, but haven’t registered yet.
