words1I know I’m a day late, but I did run  into one  new-to-me word this week.

metanoia – a profound, usually spiritual, transformation; conversion

“Jesus’ “baptism,’ begun in the Jordan and completed on Golgotha, is repentance, self-denial, metanoia to the fullest. John present his baptism as a washing from sin, a turning from self to God. Jesus seeks even more radical metanoia.”
