Today there’s a fun meme to do over at the BBAW site.
Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack? I don’t really snack when I’m reading, although a cup of coffee is the perfect companion.
Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of
writing in books horrify you? I don’t write in books, unless it’s a textbook or I’m using it as part of a class.
How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears?
Laying the book flat open? I used to be a dog-earer, but lately I’ve been pretty good about using bookmarks. It’s my daughter’s influence.
Fiction, Non-fiction, or both? Both, but mostly fiction.
Hard copy or audiobooks? Hard copy, unless I’m on a road trip.
Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you
able to put a book down at any point? I’ll put a book down at any point, when I’m interrupted. I find that if I say to myself I’ll stop at the end of the chapter, I just keep reading into the next one.
If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? No, not usually.
What are you currently reading? The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón and Lucan by Susan Kearney. I’m also reading The Lost Years of Merlin by T. A. Barron with my daughter.
What is the last book you bought? The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón and The Italian Secretary by Caleb Carr.
Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can
you read more than one at a time? I usually read one main book, but sometimes I’ll have another one I’m working on, too. They have to be differente genres, though, otherwise it can be confusing. Usually, my daughter and I will be reading one together, but it’ll be a kids book, so it stays seperate in my head.
Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read? Anytime, anywhere.
Do you prefer series books or stand alone books? Either.
Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over? No, it just depends on who I’m recommending the books to.
How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?) Um, yeah, I’m not so organized, really.
I really want to read Shadow of the Wind! Hope you’re enjoying it.

The Shadow of the Wind was wonderful! I hope you’re loving it. I have The Angel’s Game and plan on starting it soon!
You are reading a great book!
BBAW: Reading meme
I can only keep up with one plot and one set of characters.
My books aren’t in any particular order, I just put them on my bookshelf as I get them!
I really loved The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. Hope you enjoy it!
Good point about reading more than one book at a time – for me, too, it only works if the genres are different.
“a cup of coffee is the perfect companion” so true!
I do love Shadow of the wind, I hope you will enjoy i
Lol I just noticed I almost wrote the same ting as the one above 😉
Don’t feel bad…I’m not very organized either. Well, unless you count the fact that all my books in are in the same general vicinity. LOL
