Here’s my plan, more or less.
Since last check-in, I finished Week 1 and am starting Week 2. I switched Tuesday and Wednesday. I went swimming on Tuesday for about half an hour. Wednesday I went out to the gym and did some of the weight machines, concentrating on my legs. Thursday I ran the 2 miles.
Saturday I ran 2 miles, give or take. I was running on the sidewalk on Main Street and a guy on a Segway pulled out of one of the parking lots right in front of me. he was taking up the whole sidewalk and was going just the wrong speed, too fast to pass easily and get comfortably in front of, and too slow for him to get some distance between us. I ended up turning around an taking another route, but my watch wasn’t charged, so I can’t actually say for sure how far I went, but based on my usual route, I’m guessing it was around 2 miles.
Sunday was a rest day, but I did take the dog for a 1 mile walk with David.
Monday I ran two miles on the treadmill at the gym, then did 20 minutes of arm weight machines.
I’m registered for the Debbie Green 5K in Wheeling on Saturday. I ran the same race last year, so I’m just hoping to beat my time by a little.
Readers’ Workouts is hosted by Joy at Joy’s Book Blog.
Looks like you’re making great progress on your plan! Rooting for a Personal Record on your 5K!
You’re doing really good! I checked out the Debbie Green 5K and think it’s awesome that you’re doing it!
Good luck beating your time from last year!
You go, girl!
Awesome 🙂
This is so inspiring and makes me want to get off my couch. What does SS and CT mean in your plan? I might try to adapt it a little for myself.
SS means strength train/stretch and CT means cross train, something no-impact like swimming, bike, elliptical.
Dang! Go Carol! That’s awesome!
Today my legs are a bit sore, but I’ll survive.
