As you can probably tell from my recent posts, I read a lot of Christmas books. My favorite this year so far, has been Murder for Christmas by Francis Duncan. It’s a traditional English manor house mystery set at Christmas.
I also just finished listening to A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I think I either read, listen or watch it every year, so it must be one of my favorites. The version I listened to this time was an adaptation by R. D. Carstairs with a full cast done for Audible.
And I have to mention my favorite Christmas childrens book, Who’s That Knocking on Christmas Eve by Jan Brett, mostly because it’s a re-telling of one of my favorite fairy tales, The Cat on the Doverfjell. Every year, trolls knock down Kyri’s door and eat her Christmas feast, but this year she as visitors who can scare the trolls away.

I’m kind of sad that I don’t have a favorite Christmas read.
I’m sure there are a lot of people who don’t. I bet more people have favorite Christmas movies than books.
I’ve never heard of the first and last books, but I love The Christmas Carol movie. I haven’t read the book but have it in audio and plan to listen to it this month.
Oh, by the way, my favorite Christmas book and movie is The Christmas Shoes.
I haven’t read The Christmas Shoes or seen the movie, but based on the song it would be just too sad for me.
I haven’t read any of these. But I’ve seen A Christmas Carol many times. Great story!
My favorite is A Winter’s Tale by Carrie Elks. Christmas and Romance are a great combo if you ask me
Thanks for joining and sharing your favorite!
The Christmas and romance combination is right up there with Christmas and murder.
Thanks for hosting!
Murder for Christmas sounds like a good one! I’ll have to check it out. I love The Christmas Train by David Baldacci, Skipping Christmas by John Grisham, and A Boy Called Christmas by Matt Haig.
I hated Skipping Christmas, but I think I’m the only one. I’ve never seen the movie.
I like that last one
I may have to pick it up for one of my brother’s kids this year.
I haven’t read any of these. Murder for Christmas sounds like an intriguing read!
I really enjoyed it. I just picked up another in that series.
