A grouchy mountaineer, a Hollywood starlet
And miles of untamed wilderness . . .
What could possibly go wrong?

Former Hollywood darling River Lane's acting career is tanking fast. Determined to start fresh behind the camera, she agrees to film a documentary about the picturesque small town of Moose Springs, Alaska. The assignment should have been easy, but the quirky locals want nothing to do with River. Well, too bad: River's going to make this film and prove herself, no matter what it takes.

Or what (literal) mountain she has to climb.

Easton Lockett may be a gentle giant, but he knows a thing or two about survival. If he can keep everyone in line, he should be able to get River and her crew up and down Mount Veil in one piece. Turns out that's a big if. The wildlife's wilder than usual, the camera crew's determined to wander off a cliff, and the gorgeous actress is fearless. Falling for River only makes Easton's job tougher, but there's only so long he can hold out against her brilliant smile. When bad weather strikes, putting everyone at risk, it'll take all of Easton's skill to get them back home safely . . . and convince River she should stay in his arms for good.

Enjoy the View is smart and funny and cute. It’s the third in a series but works fine as a standalone. Come December, though, I might go back and read #2.

River Lane was a Hollywood starlet, determined to still make movies, she has agreed to make a documentary about the small town of Moose Springs, Alaska. Sounds like an easy light job, but the locals are not welcoming to tourists. Undeterred, River is determined to do what she set out to do – film a documentary. A chance meeting with a mountain guide, Easton Lockett, leads her in the direction of Mount Veil. Naturally, she along with Bree and Jessie (her staff helping her film her documentary) all have climbing experience, so instead of filming the town, they film the mountain climb.

Easton and River are adorable together. They’re playful and joking but also have each other’s backs, which is necessary on the mountain. The town has some quirky sweet characters too, who I assume are in other books in the series.

My one complaint is that some of the choices made during the mountain climb seemed ridiculously dangerous, even if you need to make a film. Of course, it all worked out in the end because this is fiction – in real life, I’m pretty sure someone would have ended up dead or at least seriously injured.

  • Romance that makes you laugh, smile, and roll your eyes
  • Adorable main couple
  • Adventure, mountain climbing
  • Cute animals
