I’m posting this on Monday because we got back late yesterday from taking Amber back to school.
Week’s Highlights:
We played a bunch of board games and finally watched Captain Marvel, which I really enjoyed.
And I got through my first Spring District Conference at work, so that was good.
Something I’m Loving:

You can enter my giveaway at https://www.woodwatches.com/g/carolsnotebook to win $100 towards a watch of your choice. If I won, I’d probably pick the Fieldcrest Maple. I think it would be a lovely, simple everyday watch and at $139 it’s pretty reasonable (with the $100 e-gift).

Reading:
I didn’t post any reviews last week; it was busy. But I did finish Digital Minimalism by Cal Newport and The Secret Agent by Joseph Conrad. Hopefully, I’ll get my comments posted in the next couple of days.
Watching:
We watched Captain Marvel this week which was just a fun movie.
Playing:
We played so many board games this week! Santorini, Clank!, Ascension, Clue: Master Detective, and Apples to Apples. And we even missed our regular game night because Amber and David went to a hockey game.
Looking forward to:
This week I’m accompanying some junior high singers for solo and ensemble. It’s a lot different from senior high band kids.
Wooden Wrist Watch
I’ve gone through a series of thoughts about the Captain Marvel movie. First it was: “I have heard about Captain Marvel for years, but I had no idea she was female.” And later: “Oh. Captain Marvel wasn’t originally female.” I’m glad you enjoyed it.
The new watch is lovely!
Honestly, the thing I look for in superhero movies these days is just one that won’t make me cry. I obviously won’t be watching Endgame.
A busy week. Enjoy your days.
It was all fun stuff, so that’s nice. This week I need to clean and do laundry.
Oh boy!!! Sounds like a lot of fun with all the games!
That watch is super cool but when my eyes first saw the words they registered as “Jew Lord” and I’m like what???? LOL
Oh pretty watch. Glad to hear work went well!
It could have gone a bit smoother, but I’ll be better prepared next year. When I told people to register in advance I expected them to actually register, instead, 30 extra people just showed up.
