Two more challenges

I really enjoyed the challenges I did last year, so am re-joining a couple of them, even though I said no more challenges. These don't count, since they're not really "new." First is the 100+ Reading Challenge hosted by J. Kaye. I'm just setting my goal at reading 100 books. If I read more, great. Also, I don't think I'm going to complete the A-Z Challenge this year. Women Unbound Challenge

I can't resist. I'm joining the Women Unbound Reading Challenge, reading nonfiction and fiction books related to  ‘women’s studies.’ Yes, that's broad, and encompasses biographies, memoirs, essays by women, classics written by women, and topics like motherhood and body image. I'm not putting together a reading list, at least not yet, but I'm choosing the Bluestocking level, reading 5 books, at least two of which will be non-fiction. The challenge began on November 1 and will end November 30, 2010. I think this'll be it for challenges though, at least for now. To start the challenge, there were a few questions. RIP IV Challenge

Fall just seems the perfect time to curl up on the couch under an afghan with a cup of coffee and a spooky, mysterious, scary, thrilling, eerie book. I'm giving in to the urge and joining the RIP challenge, hosted by Stainless Steel Droppings.  I'm only committing to Peril the Third, which is one book, but hopefully I'll read more that fit these categories: mystery, suspense, thriller, dark fantasy, gothic, horror, supernatural. Chunkster Challenge

Okay, one more challenge and it's a big one. I'm going to attempt the Chunkster Challenge Option 2, Do These Books Make my Butt Look Big? Here are some of the rules. *A chunkster is 450 pages or more of ADULT literature (fiction or nonfiction) *No Audio books in the chunkster. * You may start any time after signing up. You must complete your reads before or on Nov 15th. *Short Stories and Essay collections will not be counted. *Books may crossover with other challenges Those are the basics.
