Mid-Event Survey:
1. What are you reading right now? Still reading Caught Dead by Andrew Lanh, but I just got back from a nice evening at the symphony, so that's okay.
2. How many books have you read so far? 1 whole, parts of 2 others
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon? Just finishing the one I'm currently on.
4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? Yes, all kinds, but I was expecting it, so that's okay
5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? How little reading I've actually done. :(...
Just a quick update: I read Swan Song by J. Patrick Lewis, and odd book of poems about extinct animals. I'm halfway through both Caught Dead and The Silkworm. Now I have to get ready for the Symphony. I'll be back later....
I had a lunch break, but now I'm back to reading. Nothing finished yet, though.
Here's my photo for the Book Staging Mini-Challenge, hosted by Kimberly at On the Wings of Books.

I get to do the 24 Hour read-a-thon today! Alright, I won't get to read the whole 24 hours - I'm going to the symphony tonight with my mom and probably going out for a while this afternoon, but I'm going to read and participate as much as I can. I don't even have to work tomorrow - I usually play the organ at our church, but it's Youth Sunday and the kids are doing the whole service. I'll still go, Amber's ushering, but I don't have to be quite as on the ball as usual.
I'll be starting this morning listening to The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith while I make coffee, etc.
Opening Meme:
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? I'm in eastern Ohio
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I haven't really made a stack. I'm just choosing randomly today.
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? Double stuff...
Today is the 24-hour Read-a-Thon. And I'm hoping to do lots and lots of reading, starting by finishing A Plain Death by Amanda Flower.
Before I get absorbed in a story, though, I wanted to go ahead and answer Hour 1's questions.
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
I'm in Ohio. It's rainy today here, and much coller than yesterday - a perfect day to stay inside and read.
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
I don't really know. I don't have any that I have huge expectations for, and to be honest, I don't really have much of a plan. I'm just going to pull off the shelf (or Kindle) whichever book grabs my eye at the time.
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
Brownies! And spaghetti for dinner.
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I love to read and play boardgames. I have a wonderful husbad and daughter who may...
