Readers’ Workouts – 9/22

So, here are my steps for the week. I did not do so well this week, and now I can't get my fit bit to charge. :( I think this'll be my new plan, at least I'll give it a shot. Yesterday was Monday of Week 1. My week: Wednesday - 15 minutes of abs, 15 mins of weights Thursday - Walk with the dog Friday - Walk with the dog Sunday - Went bowling Monday - Very short walk with the dog; Core workout from super skinny me, but I subbed bent-over rows for the seated band row because my resistance band broke. I usually listen to a book while I'm running or walking. This week I finished The Scam by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg and started The Quick by Lauren Owen. How was your week? Readers’ Workouts – 9/15

So, here are my steps for the week. I hit my goal for the week overall. Here's my current plan (which I'm not following at all). CT stands for cross-training, SS stands for stretching or strength-training. My week: Tuesday - 65 mins on the recumbent bike Wednesday - 30 mins of weights, crunches, etc Thursday - 2 miles Friday - 45 minutes on the bike, 1 mile walk with the dog (which means slow) Saturday - 13.1 miles in 2 hrs, 21 mins, which put me at #13 our of 20 women in my age bracket. Yay me! My goal was 2 hrs 30 mins, so I think I did great. Monday - 1 mile walk with the dog,  30 mins of weights, crunches, etc Now I need to put together a new plan. I'm down 9.8 lbs from 5/19. Readers’ Workouts – 9/8

So, here are my steps for the week. I hit my goal for the week overall. I think I would have hit it Tuesday too, but I took the tracker off when we went swimming and forgot to put it back on. Here's my current plan (which I'm not following at all). CT stands for cross-training, SS stands for stretching or strength-training. My week: Tuesday - 60 mins in the pool Wednesday - 30 mins of weights, crunches, etc Thursday - 10 minutes of abs, 28 mins on the elliptical Friday - 9.9 miles Monday - 3.89 miles, played horseshoes in the evening I'm down 9.8 lbs from 5/19. My run is Saturday, presuming I don't chicken out. Wish me luck and hope for nice weather! I usually listen to a book while I'm running or walking. This week I finished First Impressions by Charlie Levitt and started The Nature of the Beast by Louise Penny. I haven't decided whether to listen to music for the run Saturday like I usually do...

Readers’ Workouts – 9/1

So, here are my steps for the week. I hit my goal for the week overall. Here's my current plan (which I'm not following at all). I did sign up for the race, now we'll just have to see if I actually run it or chicken out. CT stands for cross-training, SS stands for stretching or strength-training. My week: Wednesday - 30 mins of weights, crunches, etc Thursday - 50 crunches, 10 girly push-ups. 10.39 miles. Monday - 6-7 miles (I apparently stopped my tracker mid-way through, so I'm not sure on the exact mileage.) I'm down 9.8 lbs from 5/19. I usually listen to a book while I'm running or walking. Readers’ Workouts – 8/25

So, here are my steps for the week. I hit my goal for the week overall. Here's my current plan. CT stands for cross-training, SS stands for stretching or strength-training. My week: Tuesday - 30 mins of weights, crunches, etc Wednesday - 1 hr on the elliptical Thursday - 20 mins of weights (I was going to go running, but we had to deal with plumbing issues) Sunday- 7.3 miles Monday- 50 crunches, 10 girly push-ups. Tried to take the dog for a walk, but he wasn't interested. I've gained a couple pounds in the last few weeks. I need to watch what I'm eating more and remember that running doesn't mean I can eat as many cookies as I want. I'm down 9.8 lbs from 5/19. I usually listen to a book while I'm running or walking. Readers’ Workouts – 8/18

So, here are my steps for the week. I may not have made my goal each day, but I did pretty well on the week overall. Here's my current plan. I haven't signed up for the race yet, but I'm still planning on it. Or maybe wussing out and doing the 5K instead. CT stands for cross-training, SS stands for stretching or strength-training. My week: Tuesday - 6.62 miles Wednesday - 30 mins of weights, lunges, etc. Thursday - 3.01 miles Friday -  50 crunches, 10 (girly) push-ups Saturday - 3.1 miles Monday - 3.22 miles, 25 mins swimming I'm down 11 lbs from 5/19. I usually listen to a book while I'm running or walking. This week I finished Pride, Prejudice, and Cheese Grits by Mary Jane Hathaway and started Malice by Keigo Higashino. How was your week?
