Week’s Highlight:
We got the new carpet in our living room and tile in the dining room done. It’s looking so pretty in here.
I also went on a retreat for work which was funner than I expected. We went to the Warther Museum in Dover, Ohio. He was a carver, really amazing work but kinda crazy too.
We stayed at the Barn Inn, which was a really nice bed and breakfast. It was comfortable and charming and breakfast was delicious!
Reading:
I finished Miss Buncle’s Book by D.E. Stevenson, which I adored. I’m in the middle of Death by Dumpling by Vivien Chien and am hoping to read some more before bed.
Last week’s posts:
Watching:
We watched Pokémon Detective Pikachu this evening. It was cute and fun. Amber’s a Pokémon fan and I’ve been playing Pokémon Go.
Looking forward to:
Next weekend’s Memorial Day. I don’t think we have any plans, but we do have that Monday off.
I’ve been wanting to replace my carpet forever!
Have a great reading week
We bought our house ten years ago and finally got around to doing it. The old carpet was a weird purple-ish color.
Sounds a different kind of week!
It was a really busy week, too.
I’m sure it felt good to get that carpet in. Your retreat sounds like fun.
And the carpet is so soft! I love it.
The retreat was a lot better than I thought it would be. Those kind of things are not usually my cup of tea.
I’ve had Miss Buncle’s Book on my shelf for far too long… glad to know you enjoyed it. Your carpet and tile look so fresh and new! We’re going to replace carpet in all the bedrooms next month – can’t wait!
I loved Miss Buncle’s Book.
Now i just need new furniture and Roman shades and a fireplace. But I love our reclaimed pocket doors and the floors.
Lovely to have new carpet! Sounds like a nice retreat … I bet the carvings are amazing in person.
They are amazingly detailed and he obviously loved trains, but he only carved trains. It’s just odd somehow.
Your carpeting looks beautiful. We hope to get new flooring next year. We are trying to just take on one home improvement project per year. This year is windows.
There’s nothing like a retreat. I remember relishing the quiet.
I was astonished at the lines for Pokemon at the movie theater. I knew it was popular, but….
Have a great week!
Next year will probably be a new couch or a gas fireplace. We can only do so much at a time too.
On Sunday evening, there were only 6 of us in the theater for Pikachu.
