Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon

Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon

It's Readathon Day!! I love a good excuse to read all day.  I’ll be posting updates here but probably more on Twitter and Instagram. Opening Survey! What fine part of the world are you reading from today? Eastern Ohio as usual Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? Everything on my list this year should be fun. Which snack are you most looking forward to? The cinnamon rolls my mother-in-law picked up for me. Tell us a little something about yourself! This is always the hardest question. I’m a mystery reader. I have two adorable, bratty dogs. (I also have a husband and adult daughter, but they are not as good reading buddies) What are your goals for this readathon? No goals really, just to spend as much reading as I want. Half-Point Progress Report How many books have you been reading? Have you finished any? Are you on track with respect to your readathon goals so far? I've read parts of two books, but haven't finished...

24 Hour Readathon

Happy Readathon Day! I love readathon days. I don’t have much going on today, so I’ll have plenty of time to read. I’ll be trying to update this post throughout the day/night. I’m also on Twitter and Instagram. Opening Survey: What fine part of the world are you reading from today? And what time is it where you are? I am in eastern Ohio. The Readathon started at 8:00 a.m., but I’m starting at 10:00. I slept in a bit. Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I've been saving The Low, Low Woods by Carmen Maria Machado for today. I've also got a couple of fun cozies from NetGalley I'm hoping to get to. Which snack are you most looking forward to? I’ve got cinnamon rolls and ice cream, peanut butter-filled pretzels, and oreos. And spaghetti for dinner. Tell us something about yourself. I love mysteries and cozy blankets and hot chocolate. What are your goals for this readathon? I don't really have any...

24 Hour Readathon

It's Readathon Day! And the only thing on my schedule aside from reading is a work meeting, which should only last about 1 1/2 hours, and lunch with my mom. I'll be posting updates here but probably more on Twitter and Instagram. I am in eastern Ohio and am actually starting the readathon on time this year, for maybe the first time ever. I've got several books I'm looking forward to. On Audio, I've got A Master of Djinn or The Dogs of Riga. On my Kindle, I've got The Woman in the Library and Golden Age Locked Room Mysteries. And physical books, I've got Songs of the Dead and The Holdout. Of course, I'll probably end up reading something entirely different. Snack-wise, I'm covered. I've got pizza rolls, cheese and crackers, and peanut butter-filled pretzels. Or I may take a break and go get ice cream and visit a bookstore. It is Independent Bookstore Day and I love Prime in Weirton, which has...

24 Hour Readathon

It's Read-a-thon time! It's Read-a-thon time! I'm getting a bit of a slow start this morning, but I played Euchre a little bit later than I wanted to last night and when my alarm went off I ignore it and slept for another two hours. About me: 1 What fine part of the world are you reading from today? Eastern Ohio. Today's a bit cold by sunny. 2 Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I don't know. Part of the problem is I don't really have a plan, just choosing books/stories willy-nilly. 3 Which snack are you most looking forward to? Pizza for dinner. We've been on a bit of a diet and haven't had pizza for a while. But did you know it's also National Pasta Day, which may mean spaghetti for lunch. 4 Tell us a little something about yourself! I'm 40. I read mostly mysteries, with the occasional romance or fantasy. I have a wonderful husband and daughter...
