My replacement fitbit arrived Saturday afternoon - after I took my walk of course. This week: Thursday - Walk with the dog Saturday - Walk with the dog Sunday - Walk with the dog, yardwork Monday - Walk with the dog I want to put some kind of fun fitnessy activity on the calendar for this week. I'm not sure what yet though. Meal ideas: Shrimp and veggies Pork tacos Chicken and asparagus stir fry Coconut lamb with rice Burgers Pork tenderloin with veggies Chicken primavera Year Fitness Goals: - Lose weight. Readers’ Workouts – 8/22

So this week was pretty bad exercise-wise. We went away for a few days which totally threw me off and then I was tired and busy when we got back and had trouble getting back on track. Then my fit bit broke Saturday afternoon before all our walking, which makes me even less likely to do what I should. I know that's silly but it's true.  And that's why I don't have any steps for Sunday and Monday. They're sending me a replacement, which I hope gets here soon!   This week: Tuesday - 50 high knees, 40 lunges, 40 sec plank Monday - Walk with the dog, Pilates My August Challenge Meal ideas: Turkey Chiles Rellenos Chicken pot pie Mozzarella mini quiches Habanero-Apricot Chicken Sandwiches Chicken and wild rice strudel Baked oatmeal Taco pasta Hawaiian Chicken Year Fitness Goals: - Lose weight. I'm trying to get back to eating right and exercising. I did a pretty good job this week. I made my step goal, kept to my August challenge (moslty) and even snuck in some swimming before the weather turned a bit cooler this week. I can't believe it's August. Where has summer gone? I just missed my step goal this week according to the chart, but my fit bit died on Wednesday and I didn't get a chance to recharge it until bedtime, so I'm giving myself some extra credit.   This week: Tuesday - Walk with the dog Thursday - Walk with the dog Saturday - Walk with the dog Monday - Walk with the dog, Pilates I have a fitness Pinterest board and I pinned this plan a while ago. I thought it might be a good one to try for August, although I hate jumping jacks. I may trade jumping jacks for jumping rope. The dog has not been up to as long walks this summer as he is in the spring. I may have to start going on my own or making him take multiple walks in a day. Saturday I took a walk by myself and one of the neighbors I rarely talk to asked where he was. I'm sorry I'm posting a day late. We were at the lake over the weekend with little to no internet and yesterday just got away from me. I missed my step goal this week, but barely. I think kayaking and fishing should count as more steps than they do.   This week: Saturday - Walk with the dog, Fishing Sunday - Kayaking, Fishing Monday - Walk to the bank I had never been kayaking before; it was fun.
